Sharpening and Hard Skills

Rabbi Edelstein uses modern technology to assist in teaching ancient skills.

Hands-on learning

Rabbi Edelstein teaches the hard skills of shechita to students currently enrolled in courses for kabbalah (certification). Such as sharpening the chalif (knife), making the kosher cut, processing post-shechita, handling animals with compassion, and more.

Rabbi Edelstein does not certify students, and only teaches the in-depth wisdom of these skills by referral from a qualified instructor.

If you are interested in learning the art of sacred slaughter and receiving kabbalah, Rabbi Edelstein would be glad to discuss the process and put you in touch with his rabbi and teacher, Rabbi Shlomo Zacharow of Mishpat Shlomo Institute in Jerusalem.
